Franklin DUI Checkpoint – Insures Your Safety

Franklin Police will be conducting another DUI checkpoint on Friday, June 8th at McEwen drive and Carothers Parkway. The grant awarded to the department last year by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office provides for saturation patrols, checkpoints, training, equipment and more.

The Franklin Police are doing everything they can with that funding to insure your safety. While knocking on wood we realize that Franklin has not had a DUI related fatality in over a year, and we hope to keep it that way. According to Tennessee Traffic Crash Data, there were 8 traffic fatalities in Williamson County last year and more than 1000 people injured in automobile accidents. Play it safe and don’t be a statistic.
