Franklin Burger Co. opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, December 4 at 5 p for dinner service. The restaurant will continue to open at 5 p until Thursday evening. On Friday – Saturday you can visit the new burger joint at 11 a and Sunday brunch starts at 10 a.
We stopped by to take a look at the new place. Owner Steve Dale said he hasn’t decided on a close time yet as he has received many requests from customers to stay open later.
Franklin Burger Company, is located at 1109 Davenport Boulevard, right next to Sopapillas.
Previously we spoke to Dale about opening this new burger joint: “The area that we took over had been four failed restaurants and we used it for overflow and special events. Since we weren’t using it enough we decided to do the Local Burger Company concept. We serve a couple burger options that had won some awards for one of the top burgers in Williamson County but people don’t often think to eat burger in a Mexican food restaurant.”
The menu starters of fried okra spears, quinoa black bean bites, fried house-made pickle spears, avocado toast bites, stroganoff fries, fried onion petals, and cheese fries.
Burger selections include the Franklin, a classic burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion with house sauce. There is also a bison burger, veggie burger, hot chicken sandwich, and a grilled chicken sandwich. A few signature burgers are on the menu that offers interesting combinations like the blueberry bacon burger, blueberry compote, Gifford’s bacon, and blue cheese. The Duke(Cowboy Burger) features a house-smoked brisket with fried onion straws and there’s also an Avocado Burger with Bear Creek Angus patty topped with fried avocado and Gifford’s bacon.
You will also find a selection of beers on tap from Yazoo and Blackstone along with red and white wine selections and a cocktail menu consisting of old-fashioned, Manhattan, margarita, cosmo, and mojito.
Hand-spun milkshake will be rolling out at a later date with the option to spike your favorite shake.
Happy Hour will be offered Monday – Friday 3 p – 6 p and Sunday 11 a – 3 p where you will receive $2 off a purchase beer, wine, and cocktails. Appetizers are $2 off.
