Franklin Band Colony House Performs at Live on the Green

Live on the Green is an annual free concert series in downtown Nashville. Now in its second week, the lineup included Franklin band Colony House comprised of brothers Will and Caleb Chapman (sons of Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman), Scott Mills, and Parke Cottrell.

The band rarely performs locally as they have been out touring and their local fans came out to support them in droves. Colony House released its sophomore album in 2017 “Only the Lonely” which was inspired by Roy Orbison. Caleb told Billboard the second album was unpolished rock ‘n’ roll sound for the group, something that Caleb says was  “intentional, because they wanted to make the album more transparent than the last release — and because their live performances seemed to be resonating well with fans.”

Wanting to take a little of Franklin with them on the road “Colony House'” is an apartment complex on 11th Avenue in downtown Franklin, a place that many of the band members called home at one point and now their namesake which they carry with them on the road.
