Franklin Alderman Election Results

The unofficial results are in for the Franklin Alderman elections.

In the four seats up for grabs, the incumbent won three. Only in Ward 3 did the incumbent lose, according to the Williamson County Election Commission.

This year’s election turnout was roughly five times more than the last Alderman election. Turnout in early voting alone was 4.89 percent. Total turnout was 9.18 percent. In total, 4,373 people voted. The last Franklin Ward Alderman election in October of 2013 had an extremely low turnout of only 914 ballots cast or 2% of the registered voters participated.

Ward One: With 552 votes Alderman Beverly Burger beat challenger by J. Edward Campbell with 215 and Michael Phillips with 250.

Ward Two: Alderman Dana McLennon with 630 votes beat Mike Vaughn with 602 votes.

Ward Three: Alderman Michael J. Skinner with 272 votes lost to challenger Scott Speedy with 852 votes.

Ward Four: Alderman Margaret Martin with 582 votes beat challenger Elizabeth Downing Wanczak with 400 votes.
