FRA has survived the first round and will move onto round two in the TSSAA playoffs.  The pouncing Panthers insured a ride into next week’s game against ECS (10-0) after a big 34-21 win over Tipton-Rosemark (4-7) last night at home.

By the end of the first quarter, FRA had already made its mark in scoring with two-touchdowns.  The Panthers two scores all came within the first six-minutes of the match!

Rosemark only put up one TD within the middle of the first.  A fumble would give Tipton-Rosemark the ball towards the end of the first, and into the second, Rosemark tied it up with the Panthers at a neck-and-neck 14-14, not even four minutes into the quarter.

But FRA decided, that’s as close as it was going to get.

With less than a minute left in the first half, Spence Jones had a TD pass and the Panthers were up 21-14 at halftime.

Into the third, it was time to buckle down.  FRA graced the end zone once more, with a missed extra point, but it would give them a 13-point lead over Rosemark only 9:52 in.

It was a pick six that would give Tipton its next TD and create only a six-point different between the two teams.

The fourth and final moments were approaching the clock as a Rosemark fumble would easily become and FRA ball.  4:00 left in the game the Panthers sealed off the 34-21 lead and reached the Quarterfinals of the playoffs.
