Adding another win to its regional district record, FRA is now going a strong 4-3 this season.  The Panthers took a 55-19 win at home against Ezell Harding (2-6, 2-3) tonight.

FRA had a nice 14-point lead to kick-off the first quarter and leave a scoreless Ezell-Harding in the dust.

Into the second, the Panthers were up by 33-points, and the Eagles were still scoreless with 8:14 left in the half.  Ezell-Harding had managed to put up six points on the board at halftime but was now down by 42-points to the Panthers.

The third quarter allowed the Eagles to build more onto the scoreboard as they snagged one more TD to bring them up to 13.

FRA was dominating with whopping 55-points on the board by the end of the third.

Sealing off its fate, Ezell Harding created a 3-point “pick-me-up” to bring the Eagles up to 19-points for the night.

An exciting win followed some exciting news tonight for the Panthers.  FRA’s own Joe Irby committed to Western Kentucky University today.

The 2014 Franklin Road Academy OL Prospect committed this morning.  The outstanding player has had offers from schools like Chattanooga, Georgia State, and UAB.  With new head coach Bobby Petrino, the Hilltoppers are putting themselves on the map.

The Panthers are now 2-2 in the regional district and will travel to Davidson Academy (2-5, 0-3) next week.

The Williamson Source will keep you updated on FRA football, and Joe Irby’s transition/journey with the Hilltoppers.
