Franklin Police are investigating an early-morning armed robbery where fleeing suspects fired shots at the clerk.
Shortly before 5:00 am, two men robbed the Mapco at 2408 Goose Creek Bypass. On their way out, the suspects fired two shots at the clerk, but no one was struck. The clerk was transported to an area hospital for evaluation of the injuries he sustained when the suspects physically assaulted him during the robbery.
Because the suspects obscured their identity, no physical description is currently available. Detectives are working to secure video from the robbery. This is a very active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.–Franklin PD News
