Former Tennessee Titans player, Jason Jones, and his wife MyRanda, opened an education-based child care facility, Kiddie Academy® of Franklin, earlier this month. Jason Jones was a defensive end for the Titans organization from 2008 to 2011. The Jones’ have planned a FREE, community-wide family celebration event for their Grand Opening on Saturday, September 30th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at 100 Westwind Court, Franklin, TN.

Kiddie Academy’s nationally recognized child education programs intrigued both Jason and MyRanda in 2014 while attending an NFL Bootcamp that highlighted franchising opportunities. MyRanda has her Master’s Degree in Early Child Development from Tennessee State University and they have two children.

“This was the perfect fit for our family,” said MyRanda Jones, Owner of Kiddie Academy of Franklin. “Jason and I were very impressed with Kiddie Academy’s proprietary Life Essentials® curriculum, supporting programs, methods, activities and techniques that help prepare children for life. In addition, we knew that Franklin had a need for an educational facility that serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old that offers full-time care, before and after-school programs as well as summer camps.”

Kiddie Academy’s Grand Opening Celebration is an opportunity for the public to visit the facility for a FREE day of fun for the entire family. The event will start at 10:00 am with Storytime LIVE where Curious George jumps off the page and visits the class in person! In the afternoon, they will have a variety of activities to include outside games, bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, Jet’s Pizza and the Jet’s Mascot – Jet Man.

While the event is FREE and open to the public, parents must register their child to attend Storytime LIVE on the website.

Schedule of Events for Saturday, September 30th from 10 am – 4 pm:

10 am – 12 pm: Storytime LIVE with Curious George appearance (every 30 minutes)
12:30 pm: Ribbon Cutting with the Williamson Chamber of Commerce

Kiddie Academy, founded in 1981, began with the idea to combine learning with child care, and a commitment to be a leader in the industry. Kiddie Academy developed a comprehensive education-based child care program for its academies, which are structured to respond to the increasing demand for child care. The Franklin location utilizes the Kiddie Academy Life Essentials® curriculum created to promote each child’s intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth. According to Jones, the programs emphasize continuous, open communication between teachers and parents concerning each child’s development.
