
The starting quarterback for last year’s Ravenwood High School state championship football team is currently sitting in the Shelby County jail following a police pursuit in West Tennessee.
Andrew Rappe, 18, was arrested just after 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly stealing a vehicle from Arkansas State University.
The Arkansas State University campus police reported a theft of a vehicle valued between $5,000 and $25,000 at 2712 Iroquois Street in Jonesboro, Ark. at 9:43 a.m. along with several other reports of theft of credit and debit cards, breaking and entering and fraudulent use of a credit card.
Rappe was booked under theft of property of $1,000 to $10,000 with a bond amount of $65,000, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Rappe appeared in court on Tuesday for his arraignment and his next court date is slated for Sept. 13. He faces charges in Shelby County of intentionally evading arrest in an automobile, a felony, as well as charges of speeding and resisting official detention.
The Home Page has not yet confirmed any charges in Arkansas for the alleged theft of the vehicle and other articles.
