Denny Laine will be performing at the Little Brick Theatre at The Factory in Franklin on Friday, September 15 at 7:30 p.
If you are unfamiliar with Laine, you have no doubt heard his music. First, he was the founding member of the Moody Blues band where he provided vocals for their hit “Go Now.”
While a part of the Moody Blues Band, Laine traveled on tour with The Beatles and came to know Paul McCartney. After the Beatles parted way, McCartney created his band- Wings comprised of Paul, his wife Linda and Denny Laine. 
Laine was Paul McCartney’s main collaborator for over ten years, and in 1977, he and McCartney co-wrote the biggest selling single in UK history-Mull of Kintyre.
We spoke to Laine where he told us this would be his first time to perform in Franklin saying, ” I like to perform in new venues.”
However, Laine has been to Nashville on several occasions. Country music played an influential part of his youth. In recalling one of his favorite country artists, he mentions Patsy Cline and recalls meeting Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, and Buddy Holly along with his band The Crickets.
For the show on Friday, guests will have the opportunity to meet Laine. With such an extensive career we asked what he most often hears from fans.
“Thank you for your music, is the number one thing I hear from fans,” Laine says. “It’s such a compliment when fans will bring their kids and grandkids to my shows.”
Laine says the show will offer fans some Moody Blues, Wings, and some of his solo music showcasing 50 years of music and stories. He will be joined by special guest Gordon Kennedy, The Cryers and John Salaway. Tickets are on sale now online.Â
