Forbes Ranks Nashville as One of Best Cities for Jobs

Forbes just released their 2016 Best Big Cities for Jobs.  Nashville comes in at number 4 with a job growth rate from 2010-2015 of 20%.Job growth rate in 2015 was 3.4%.

Ranking just before Nashville is Orlando and San Jose. Taking the number one position was San Francisco.

How did Forbes rank the cities on the list?

“We ranked all 421 current metropolitan statistical areas based on employment data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 2004 through 2015. Rankings are based on recent growth trends, mid-term growth, long-term growth and the region’s momentum. We also broke down rankings by size since regional economies differ markedly due to their scale. For our big cities list, we ranked the 70 MSAs that each have more than 450,000 jobs.”
