Ravenwood withstood Whitehaven (12-2) on Friday night in the Class 6A semifinals, winning a defense-heavy game 20-13.
The Raptors (13-1) will advance to their second straight Blue Cross State Championship Bowl against Maryville (14-0), who won last year 35-34.
Chris Rowland came up big for Ravenwood, scoring both of the Raptors touchdowns on an 80-yard kickoff return and a 23-yard run that gave them the lead for good.
Ravenwood scored first, with a 31-yard Crews Holt field goal in the first quarter.
But in the second, White Haven scored 13 straight on two Darrion Cole touchdown passes.

Down 13-3, the 5-foot-8, 170 pound Rowland took the ensuing kick back 80 yards to pull the Raptors to within a field goal at halftime.
Holt, in the third, hit a 55-yard field goal to tie the game 13-13.
Then Rowland capped a Ravenwood drive with a 23 yard touchdown run, that with the Holt point after kick gave the Raptors the lead for good, 20-13.
The Tigers actually outgained the Raptors, with 253 total yards to 116 for Ravenwood. White Haven threw for 84 yards and rushed for 169 compared to 52 and 64 for Ravenwood.
Special teams, with two field goals and the kickoff return touchdown, made the difference for the Raptors.
The rematch of last year’s championship game will take place on Saturday at Tennessee Tech at 7 p.m.
