Rebels Take No. 2 Seed With Lebanon Win

After an up and down start to the season, the Franklin Rebels finished the season with five straight wins.
On Friday night at Lebanon, Franklin capped its regular season with a 35-0 blowout.
Led by Matthew Burns the Rebels ran for 365 yards and 4 touchdowns. Kyle Evans added two rushing touchdowns and another passing.
Burns had 115 yards on 10 carries. Evans, who threw 5 for 6 for 47 yards, ran for 87 yards on 11 carries.
Evans had a hand in the Rebels first three touchdowns. He ran in 3-yard score to put Franklin up 7-0 in the first quarter. Then in the second quarter he scored on a 5-yard run, and later found Mitch Rossi for an 8-yard touchdown catch. The Rebels led 21-0 at halftime.
The Franklin defense held Lebanon to 90 yards passing and an interception. In the last five games, the Rebel Defense has only allowed 30 total points, 21 of those came against McGavock.

The win gives the Rebels second place in Region 3-6A, behind Ravenwood, and a home playoff game next Friday against Houston (1-9).
