The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department invites youth ages 11 to 15 to float the Duck River on a supervised outing Saturday, September 27, 2014; departing from the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill.
Staff members will go along for the ride and River Rat’s Canoe Rental will coordinate. This is an all-day trip, departing at 8:00 a.m. and returning at 5:00 p.m., and space is limited. Participants should wear a swimsuit, tennis shoes and sunscreen.
Bring a lunch, drink, snack, change of clothes and a towel. The fee is $30 per person. To register, please download the participation waiver from the website, www.wcparksandrec.com and return to the Longview Recreation Center along with payment.
