The triple threat entertainer will make her Bridgestone Arena debut on September 11th. In June, the arena shared a “Happy Birthday” to the artist, stating, “Join us in wishing Tate McRae a very happy birthday!! She’ll be making her Bridgestone Arena debut on September 11 to a sold out crowd!”
The Miss Possessive Tour kicked off in March with dates in South America, Europe, and the UK before finally heading to Nashville. This tour is in support of McRae’s third album So Close to What, which was released in February, and is said to be an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and searching for balance in moments of uncertainty. Ahead of the concert this week, here are a few things you might not know about the artist.
McRae Collaborated with Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae collaborated on “What I Want,” which was released on Wallen’s album I’m the Problem in May. It is the first duet with Wallen and a female artist. The song debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. They performed it live in Miami, and who knows, Wallen might be a surprise guest at the show.
She Started Dancing at Age Six
McRae is known for her dancing, which began at the age of six when she started taking ballet lessons. Later, she expanded into all dance styles through her mom’s dance studio, YYC Dance Project. Her prowess earned her third place on So You Think You Can Dance (Canada) at just 13, and she was the first Canadian to reach the finals.
McRae Says on Stage She Has an Alter Ego
Tate admits she’s naturally shy—but once the spotlight hits, she transforms into her alter ego “Tatiana.” This bold, fearless persona helped inspire her hit “Greedy,” allowing her to push creative boundaries and express a fiercer side of herself-shared The List.
She Got Her Start on YouTube
Long before achieving major-label fame, Tate was crafting emotional songs and uploading them to YouTube every week beginning in 2017. One of her earliest viral tracks, “One Day,” and consistent song releases helped her gain an authentic following. “One Day” now has 41 million views on YouTube.
At Just 22 Years Old- She’s Topped Several Lists
Singer, songwriter, and dancer Tate McRae is a triple threat, having garnered over 11.6 billion career streams and multiple #1 Top 40 hits. She’s been featured on Variety’s 2022 Power of Young Hollywood list, Billboard’s 21 Under 21 list for four consecutive years, along with Forbes 2021 30 Under 30 list, where she was the youngest musician on the list.
