First Production Set for New Performing Arts Center

Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) announced Friday the opening of the new Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park.

The Performing Arts Center, located at 112 Everbright Ave. in Franklin on the Academy Park campus, behind the new Williamson County Enrichment Center, will debut with a play of Peter Pan on March 30.

The 7  p.m. performance by Off the Square Theatre Company will run through April 1, then from April 6-8. To purchase tickets, go to www.offthesquarefranklin.com.

The new Williamson County Performing Arts Center at Academy Park is a versatile public theater facility, featuring up to 300 seats for performances. Along with theater auditions, rehearsals and performances, other anticipated uses include songwriter’s nights, art exhibits, choral groups, concerts, recitals, talent showcases, summer camps and school group performances. The facility is available for public use and rental.
