Fireworks Display This Saturday

The rained out 4th of July Fireworks display is scheduled to light the skies on Saturday, August 31st. Picnic blankets, lawn chairs, kids playing and the sound of family fun will fill the space of the Park at Harlinsdale this Labor Day Weekend. Gates open for parking at 6 p.m. so go early to get the best spot.

The Fireworks will coincide with the Franklin Jazz Festival at the Factory and the display is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. Parking is accessible from two areas, the main entry road across from the Mapco, and the north entry on Franklin Road, towards Mack Hatcher. The park will be closed during the day on Saturday until it opens for fireworks. It closes Friday night at 7 p.m.

A few vendors will be on hand with snacks and drinks for purchase. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food, although the City asks they abide by the park policy of no grilling, no alcohol and no personal fireworks. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Special thanks goes to WAKM Radio who is a co-sponsor of this event.
