Fireflies Boutique, located at 5323 Main Street in Spring Hill, has announced the boutique will transition into an online store, with new plans for the storefront.
The storefront will close to the public becoming an event space, and a place for pop-up shops. It will take a couple of months for the store to transition and no exact date was given on the closure of the storefront.
Fireflies made the announcement via Facebook, calling it a “scary but necessary decision.”
As they describe, the store will feature private girls shopping events, pop up markets, food truck events, fundraisers and more, while online shopping will continue to feature locally made items. Free local delivery, shipping, expedited same-day delivery and pick up will still be available.
During this time, the boutique’s storefront, which is a home built in 1840, will get a “makeover.” As stated on the Fireflies site:
“She needs a makeover and to be shown the love that I feel she gives to me. She has seen me through some of my proudest moments as well as some of my deepest loss. In January 2019 I was able to put my name on the deed of this gorgeous home, just 3 days later my dear husband with whom I wanted to take on this adventure with took his last step onto her porch. He passed that day, and these walls saw me through it. These walls watched a community of strangers serve me like I’ve never seen before. In those moments my faith was restored. His spirit and laughter echoes within these walls. His passion comes alive when you walk through the front door. Often times visitors will comment on the spirit felt in this home and how happy these old walls and floors make them. By moving online we can spend the time needed to resurrect her beauty, and I cannot wait to welcome you back inside, maybe a little differently than before but my home, will always be the home of Spring Hill TN.”
