Fat Orange Alumni Celebration on March 4th

by Zachary Harmuth

Attention all UT alumni–the Williamson County’s chapter of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association (UTAAwcc) is hosting its 14th annual “Fat Orange Tuesday” on March 4. Kick off Mardi Gras Volunteer-style!

The Brentwood Country Club on 5123 Country Club Drive will host the event, and all alumni, UT supporters and friends are invited.

Tickets to Fat Orange Tuesday are $40 dollars at the door or $38 for anyone who would like to pre-register. A ticket buys entrance to a celebration that includes a silent auction of “unique treasures and adventures,”according to UTAAwcc spokesperson Lucinda Hall, and, naturally, a full Cajun and New Orleans-style buffet.

Of course, a full cash bar will give party-goers something strong and cool to wash down the spice. All proceeds will go to the UTAAwcc’s Scholarship Endowment for UT School of Music.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and the auction to follow.

Among the items up for auction will be dinner for 25-30 people with sportscasters Mike Keith and Brent Hubbs; a four-day, three-night stay at a four-bedroom cabin in Laurel Valley Townsend; special University of Tennessee sports memorabilia.
