Family Day Rescheduled to This Saturday

Family Day at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm is scheduled for November 10th. It is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. will feature plenty of activities for the entire family including kid’s entertainment and DJ music. The day will include hay rides and children’s train rides, fishing/casting in the pond and a variety of games and inflatables for all ages. The event will feature a petting zoo, lasso and horsemanship demonstrations, and free face painting. Everything during Family Day is free, but there will be a small fee for snack items which include: hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers and fries, funnel cakes, and drinks.

The City of Franklin is sponsoring its second annual 5k Cross Country Fun Run at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm on Saturday, Nov. 10. The Run, being held in conjunction with Family Day, includes a 5k run and dog dash, and a 3k walk/K-9 Kruise. The Park is located at 239 Franklin Road (across from the Factory). Registration is $20 per person with or without dog; $15 for children 12 and younger; or $50 for family or organization groups (up to four). Walkers with or without their dogs will pay a $10 registration fee.  All dogs must be kept on leash. There will be a $5 fee if you register the day of the event. All proceeds will go to United Way.
The 5K Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m.; the Dog Dash begins at 8:45 a.m.; and the walk begins at 9 a.m. For those who don’t pre-register, registration is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Registration forms and course maps are available at www.FranklinTN.gov/parks. Click on “What’s Happening Now.”
