Familiar Face Looks To Make Brentwood Rise Again

2-8..It was a tough season for the Brentwood Bruins. It had actually been tough ever since Coach Ron Crawford went to coach Cleveland High School 3 years ago. While there, CHS went 21-15 with 2 playoff appearances. The Bruins did not have as much success. As the 2015 season approaches, Coach Crawford returns to the Brentwood sideline and looks to put a bite back in to the Bruins’ game. Entering his 11th season as Brentwood’s Head Coach, Crawford has the daunting task of getting the Bruins back to winning ways. His track record says it will happen. He was 94-32 as coach of the Bruins and won a State Championship in 2002. An opening match against Independence will tell a lot about what the upcoming season holds.

Seniors Look To Lead Brentwood Bruins At Key Positions

PrepWeekly.com’s Greg Maupin points out that seniors look to lead the offense in 2015:

“Senior quarterback Carson Croy (6’0”, 180) is one of five returning starters on the offensive side of the ball. In the air, Croy was 138 of 259 for 1,556 yards with 7 touchdowns with 13 interceptions. On the ground, Croy rushed for an additional 280 yards and five touchdowns.”

“Up front for the Bruins, senior Alex Turner (6’2”, 220) will start at offensive guard while seniors Jacob Boone (6’0”, 275) and Carter McFarland (6’1”, 250) will get the nod to start at the tackle spots. ”
