Fairview is staying busy this summer with the log truck turnover on Highway 96 stopping traffic and Extensive Fire Fighter training preparing 4 of their finest in heavy equipment and Farm Equipment Rescue.

August 18th is the start of the next Women Build for Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County. This will be the third house constructed by Williamson County Women and they will be joined by Miss Tennessee Bethany Sharp. The house is for Charles and Marsey Badgett, along with their two children.

The board of zoning and appeals will meet on the 20th but the real debate may be the Tax Rate Public Hearing scheduled for tonight. Mayor Totty will call things to order at 7 P.M. The rest is up to you, as your voice is requested on Bill #2012-08 Ordinance No. 787. This act will adopt a budget for the fiscal year and set the tax rate. Make sure you are there to say your piece.
