This Saturday is a big day for Bowie Park as they celebrate free fishing day. The park is hosting a Youth Fishing Rodeo from 7 to 10 a.m. Partnered with the Tennessee Wildlife Agency this event begins registration at 6:30 a.m. with a prize drawing held at 10 a.m. Released catfish are the goal with the local Boys and Girls club providing breakfast and bait for a small donation to the club.

The Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency will be at the Recreation center Monday June 11th, from 1 to 3 p.m. distributing commodities to households meeting income requirements. Call (615) 790-5786 for details.

The Board of Commissioners will meet on Thursday, June 7th at 7 p.m. in the Fairview City Hall. There is a lot on the agenda so don’t miss it.
