Fairview running back Darius James ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns, as Fairview held on to beat Stratford by a 27-20 score in the first round of the Class 3A TSSAA football playoffs on Friday.

Quarterback Kam Harris-Lusk was 10-of-16 passing for the Yellowjackets (8-3), who’ll host Giles County (7-4) next week.

Senior fullback Brendon Nardozzi added five catches for 45 yards and two scores for Fairview, which out-gained the Spartans, 355-306.

Trailing 7-0, Fairview tied the game on James’s 3-yard run, followed by Jeff Perez’s point-after, with 1:46 left in the quarter.
