Fairview is kicking off the season with a 4-0 start and hoping to gain another “W” on Friday night. The Yellow Jackets will take on Montgomery Central over on the Indian turf.

The yellow-and-black took a win from Creek Wood at home last week, 49-3. The dominant team has been on a roll this season and does not plan to stop.

Montgomery Central hails from the same district as Fairview, Class AA Division 11. Losing to district rival Hickman County (3-0) last week, sealed its 0-4 overall and 0-2 district record.

Lewis County (3-0), Hickman County (3-0), and Fairview (4-0) are the only undefeated teams in Class AA Division 11 thus far. This point in the season last year, the Yellow Jackets were in Class AA District 12 and 2-2 in its overall record.

Fairview did not know what to expect at the beginning of the season, but were pleasantly surprised when its young team sprouted their wings and dominated the field. Running back Garret Wall has done extremely well throughout the season thus far and put several TD’s on the board this year.

The Yellow Jackets have produced much talent throughout the years, and Tennessee’s Logan Cavendar is no different. Cavender is a LB red-shirt freshman at the University of Tennessee that transferred from Tennessee Tech and graduated from Fairview.

Hoping to go 5-0, the Yellow Jackets will kick-off at Montgomery Central at 7:30 p.m.
