After a hard fight, Fairview ended its undefeated streak by only 3-points.  The Yellow Jackets took a trip to undefeated district rival Lewis Co. last night and fell just short 34-37.

Fairview took a 7-6 lead over Lewis Co. at the beginning of the game.  But the Panthers bounced back, bringing it 14-7.

A missed field-goal by Fairview brought the Yellow Jackets fight that much closer with a 13-14 score.  At Halftime, Lewis Co. kicked to bring a closing 17-13 lead over Fairview.

Back into the game, Fairview copped two more points to bring them closer to Lewis County’s 24-point lead, after another TD.  The Yellow Jackets struggled to get points on the board as the Panthers took a 31-19 lead.

However, the best was yet to come.

Fairview sprang right back into action as the swarm crept into the end zone.  It was 26-31, and the Yellow Jackets were fighting hard.

The Panthers sealed off a 37-point lead, leaving Fairview just short by 34- points.

The Yellow Jackets are now 5-1 and will travel over to Hickman County (4-2, 3-2) next Friday night.
