The Fairview Yellow Jackets are buzzing their way to the top!  The dynamic yellow and black have now claimed their third win of the season this past week and remain undefeated for the 2013 football season.

Fairview will take on Creek Wood at home this Friday night.  This will be the second district match-up for the team this season.

The Yellow Jackets were able to claim their third win last week against district rival the Stewart County Rebels (49-12).

With Fairview working its hardest on the field, head coach Chris Hughes says that the players are focused on one game at a time and executing the game plan in a timely manner.

“It’s very exciting for me to see this group excel like they are capable of doing…” says Hughes, “most importantly, they are having fun playing football and supporting each other.”

Creek Wood (1-2) fell to district neighbor Hickman County last Friday (0-27).  The Red Hawks finished off the 2012 season with a 2-8 record last year.

Fairview has only allowed 13 points within the three games they have won, unlike Creek Wood whose defense has given up 53 points and offense has only scored a total of 24 for the year.

Hughes says that the Yellow Jackets defense is one of the key points to their success on the field.

Fairview will kick-off at home on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
