Fairview won 3A Region 6 in style, whipping Cheatham County by a 62-18 score on Friday night.
Darius James rushed 23 times for 181 yards and a sore, and fullback David McNeil ran for five scores and 69 yards on seven carries.
Brendon Nardozzi added a 44-yard touchdown run on his lone carry.
The Yellowjackets’ defense allowed just five first downs and 222 total yards. Fairview forced seven fumbles, recovering four.
Cheatham County scored on an 80-yard rush on the game’s first snap, and attempted one pass on the night, which was incomplete.
Fairview will host Stratford in the TSSAA 3A state playoffs next Friday.
