Fairview High School will be kicking off its season opener at home this Friday against Cheatham County. Ending the season with an 8-4 record last year, the Yellow Jackets have a big game in their sights.

Losing the season opener by a short stretch last year to Cheatham County (24-27), Fairview has a chance to reclaim that “W” for this year’s football season.
The boys fell short again at the end of the season when they faced Cheatham County for the second time in the Class 3A Playoffs resulting in a 21-36 loss. Cheatham County finished out its season with an overall 12-1 record last year making it all the way to the Class 3A Quarterfinals ending the season in a loss to CPA.

Fairview represented itself last year in Class AA- District 12 and will be moving to District 11- Class AA this year. The Yellow Jackets will be facing teams this year, such as Montgomery Central and Creek Wood to rev up some old rivalries.

Fairview will host its second game at home next week, as well, against top-ranked Camden. With an ending record of 9-3 last year, the Lions will pose as a motivator for the Yellow Jackets and set off the season on a strong note.

Kick off is at 7:30 p.m. at Fairview and The Williamson Source will keep you updated throughout this game on Friday night and others. Our Football Central will keep you updated on the latest scores, pictures, and look-ins throughout this 2013 football season.
