Faces of Williamson County: “Coach Mickey Marley” Episode 3

Williamson County of decades past was a much different place.

Growing up in the Kingfield community near Leiper’s Fork, Mickey Marley experienced a simpler, less-crowded way of life.

Episode 3, titled “Kingfield,” of our documentary on Mickey Marley highlights the former Franklin High School athlete-turned-high school coaching legend’s foundation in the county. Marley remembers when Puckett’s Grocery really was a country store; and Clovercroft Road’s hottest local attraction was Shoney’s.
