Extra Points: BGA Champs, Football Set, Cross Country Results, GNASH

BGA Girl’s Soccer takes state. We look at the Road to State in football. See who did well at yesterday’s state Cross Country Championships. And this weekend’s GNASH results :

SOCCER:

  • Girl’s State Soccer Div. II Class A Champs are the Lady Wildcats of BGA. BGA beat USN 2-0 Outshooting USN 14-5, with Chloe Tremblay leading the way with an assist and a goal.

GOALS: BGA-Korrie Sauder (5:00, Assist – Chloe Tremblay); BGA- Chloe Tremblay (54:00)

CROSS COUNTRY:

  • CLASS A-AA: Boys 5 K Page Patriots Team finished 11th with Sophomore Colin Lamb leading the way with a 9th place overall finish.
  • CLASS AAA: In Girls 5 K Anikka Sleenhoff of Ravenwood finished 2nd overall. The Ravenwood Team finished 3rd , Brentwood 4th, Independence 7th.
  • CLASS AAA: In Boys 5k it Brodey and Gavin Hasty of Brentwood High finished 2nd and 5th respectively. Matt Rainey of Ravenwood and Davis Holliday of Franklin both finished with top 10 finishes also. The Brentwoodteam finished second overall, Ravenwood was 4th, Independence 11th.
  • Div. II Class A: FRA girl’s team finished 8th. BGA boys also finished 8th.
  • Div. II Class AA: In girls action, Brentwood Academy’s Claire Cheesman finished 3rd and Meredith Helton finished 9th to lead their team to a second place finish. Ensworth was 7th and Father Ryan was 8th.
  • Div. II Class AA: In boys action, Ben Weisel of Father Ryan finished second. BA’s Will Boling finished third. BA took home the championship , Father Ryan finished 5th.

FOOTBALL:

  • Class 3A: CPA gets the #1 seed at 10-0  and will host #8 seed Harpeth. #5 seed Fairview (7-3) will have a tough match on the road against 8-2 #4 seed Westmoreland. Winners will matchup against each other in the next round.
  • Class 4A: Page (6-4) gets a #6 seed and travels to Hixson a #3 seed at 8-2. Spring Hill (5-5) gets 5-5 Lexington at Lexington.
  • Class 6-A: Ravenwood finishes 10-0 and gets a #1 seed and a date with Station Camp (5-5) at home.  In a head scratcher, Franklin gets a #3 seed and Centennial gets a #6 seed despite the same record. So after one of the best games of the year they will match up again in the first round, this time at Franklin. Independence at 7-4 will travel to Hendersonville (9-1) the # 2 seed.
  • Div. II Class A : BGA gets a #1 Seed and a bye. They will play the winner of Harding Academy-DCA. FRA (5-5) will take on 6-4 Rosemark at home.
  • Div. II Class AA: Ensworth and Brentwood Academy get byes. Father Ryan will travel to Baylor.

GNASH:

  • 10/29: Lipscomb-BA wins 6-5 over Blackman-Stewart’s Creek
  • 10/29: Ravenwood beat Centennial 5-2
  • 10/29 :  Hume Fogg-Page win 5-2 over Station Camp-Beech
  • 10/29: Hendersonville bests Brentwood 3-1
  • 10/29: Ensworth-FRA shuts out Independence-Summitt 3-0
  • 10/29: Father Ryan beats MBA 3-2
  • 10/30: MBA beats FRA-Ensworth 4-1
  • 10/31:  Hume Fogg-Page wins 6-3 over Independence-Summit
  • 10/31: Brentwood 5-3 over MBA
  • 10/31: Lipscomb-BA 8-5 over Station Camp -Beech
  • 10/31: Ensworth-FRA 3-1 over Franklin-Oakland
  • 10/31: Father Ryan and Ravenwood tie 3-3
