Writing Workshop: The Hidden Lives of Objects
Watkins College
Sat, Jun 24 10:00 am

You’ve heard the expression “if walls could talk.” Well what if bicycles, night stands, or kitchen knives could talk? In this workshop, we’ll discover how extraordinary and everyday objects can inspire us, as well as help us understand ourselves and the characters we write about. We’ll interact with some interesting objects, look at how successful authors make use of objects in their work, and use engaging exercises to start writing our own object-inspired pieces. By the end of the workshop, we’ll all have beginning drafts of several pieces of original poetry and prose. Writers of all experience levels are welcome!
