Songwriter and recording artist Chip Taylor is known for his song “Wild Thing,” which the Troggs made famous in 1966. Taylor also penned “Angel of the Morning,” a hit for Merrilee Rush in 1968 and Juice Newton in 1981. His compositions also include “A Little Bit Later Down the Line” (Country Music Hall of Fame member Bobby Bare), “Any Way That You Want Me” (Evie Sands), “I Can Make It with You” (Jackie DeShannon), “I Can’t Let Go” (Linda Ronstadt), “Sweet Dream Woman” (Country Music Hall of Fame member Waylon Jennings), “Son of a Rotten Gambler” (Anne Murray), and “The Baby” (The Hollies).
