Laura Gibson: Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Laura Gibson today announced her new album, Goners, will be released on October 26, 2018 via Barsuk Records. The FADER premiered first single “Tenderness” this morning, writing, “It begins with drums pounding like feet hitting the Earth, and melts into something gentler when Gibson's vocals and strings cut in, her voice honeyed and light.” Listen to “Tenderness” now HERE. Of “Tenderness,” Gibson says: “The songs I wrote for Goners all circle around the theme of grief and the intimacy of shared loss. ‘Tenderness’ reflects on the ways we project pain, lash out, or become cracked open by the immediacy of another person. The act of holding each others' trauma and grief, is both miraculous and messy. When we're young, we adopt certain strategies for seeking and receiving tenderness. Much of adulthood is spent dismantling those strategies and drawing new ones. I wanted to write about that dismantlement.” Dawn Landes: Kentucky born Dawn Landes first traveled to Paris to perform in the Les Femmes s’en Mêlent festival as a 22-year-old songwriter. Her hand-made CDs caught the attention of indie label Ocean Music who released her first album “Dawns Music” in France in 2005. She toured the country for the next few years, not speaking a word of French. Picking up bits of slang from the musicians she met on the road, Landes started to learn the songs of French greats Serge Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy, and Georges Brassens.  Stelth Ulvang: Stelth Ulvang breathes life into ordinary things a tattered, grey bowler hat made light as a feather and nimble as a hummingbird when it's an extension of Stelth's palm and a piece of knotted wood sings as a new slingshot once Stelth's pocket knife has touched the bark. Stelth is a creator; selftaught and continually curious to learn more, he's a talented multiinstrumentalist, spirited poet and composer of vulnerable, honest, and rich music. Able to balance heavy truths with the lightness of humor and observation, his songs share the wayfaring nature of his heart. His unique ability to transform living rooms, basements, backyards, kitchens, and even large venues into an intimate moment of storytelling, makes his carnivalstyle performance and confessional lyrics appealing to the human experience. Fulltime globe traveler, currently touring with The Lumineers, Stelth first kicked off his musical travels cofounding the band known as The Dovekins.
