Sat, Feb 16 9:00 am

The Hand Cut Dovetail is the pinnacle of all woodworking joints. Come take this class and you will open up a new dimension to your woodworking projects. We will start this class by discussing the different approaches to the hand cut dovetail, a western saw or a Japanese saw, pins first or tails first? We will then lead a discussion on the various tools needed to cut a dovetail by hand and then we will spend the balance of the time practicing cuts and practicing making joints. We will ultimately approach the dovetail using the Rob Cosman method of cutting the dovetail. At the end of the class you will have the knowledge required to do a hand cut dovetail and then all you need is some wood and lots of practice! Part 1: Saturday, February 16, 9 AM - 5 PM Part 2: Sunday, February 17, 9 AM - 5 PM
