Join us this fall for an intimate series of evening programs featuring some of our most beloved authors! Featuring the work and lives of Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe and Washington Irving, step away from the screens and join us by the fireside for three special evenings in the 19th-century literary world. Mr. Dickens is Coming! September 19 & September 20 Mr. Dickens is Coming to Nashville! The Hermitage is proud to present a lighthearted and varied look at the life and character of Charles Dickens. Featuring Mr. Gerald Dickens, real great-great-grandson to the famous writer, the performance will highlight scenes from the great author’s works, diary extracts, and observations from those who knew and worked with him. With its fresh and modern perspective, Mr. Dickens offers fans and novices alike a glimpse of the man behind the page.
