Evening of Stories in the Round Tickets On Sale Now

unnamed-2The 6th Annual “An Evening of Stories in the Round” features a premier group of storytellers, sharing their unique, moving and engaging stories on Wednesday, March 11th, at the Franklin Theatre, beginning at 7:30 pm.

Now in its 6th year, An Evening of Stories is gaining a reputation for putting the “fun” back in fundraisers. A benefit for Porter’s Call, this winsome night of stories in-the-round features an eclectic group of storytellers weaving their unique, moving, and often humorous tales into the fabric of a magical evening. This year’s storytellers include: Olympic Champion and Best-Selling Author Scott Hamilton, Grammy Winning Songwriter and Composer Marcus Hummon, and Poetry Out Loud National Champion Anita Norman.
An Evening of Stories alumni include Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Former US Poet Laureate Billy Collins, Andrew Peterson, Luci Swindoll, David Wilcox, Becca Stevens, Donald Miller, Ian Cron, Nichole Nordeman, Andy Gullahorn, Bob Goff, The Warren Brothers, and Minton Sparks.

This event sells out every year. Porter’s Call Mission is to be a service of counsel, support and encouragement to recording artists and their families & to provide a safe and confidential refuge for artists to deal with the issues they face, at no charge.

With a generous donation from Sparrow Records, Porter’s Call was established back in 2001 giving artist a place to be off stage with a place to guide and help them.  Since opening their doors, they have assisted over 1000 artists from all types of genre.
