Elliston Place Soda Shop in Cool Springs has closed.
Located at 335 Mayfield Drive in Franklin, the restaurant opened in June 2018, reproducing the same diner-like vibe as the iconic original, located near downtown Nashville.
A sign was placed on the door stating, “We are sorry but this location is permanently closed -Please visit us at our original location Elliston Place Soda Shop, 2111 Elliston Place.”
No updates about the closure have been shared on social media at this time.
Prior to Elliston Place Soda Shop, Puffy Muffin occupied the space at 335 Mayfield Drive.

Been here for 10 years and I’ve never heard of the “iconic” place…no wonder this location closed.
It was expensive and the burgers weren’t that good!
Nashville location is still “iconic.” We eat there anytime we are in the area. We tried the new location and found the food and service lacking.
The original truly is “iconic”–been on Elliston Place in Nashville forever…..this spin-off was a poor try at reproducing that vibe. Mediocre food, sterile atmosphere, etc. will get you shut down every time.
Ate there three times. Each time, the service got progressively worse. One time, it took over 45 minutes to get our food and some of the order was wrong. Too bad. I liked the theme, and the burgers were good. The place was mismanaged.
This restaurant had a lot of promise. I usually give a new restaurant 2 chances to impress me. My first visit to this restaurant so completely disappointed me, I never went back. Way too expensive for the average food they brought out. Very sad.
