With numerous car service centers in the area, Ed’s British 4×4 in Brentwood hopes to stand out. Not only because Ed’s British 4×4 has been in business for over 10 years and is Middle Tennessee’s only independent Land Rover/Range Rover service center, but because they have some seriously dedicated staff members.
Owner and operator Kenny Heithcock is a Williamson County native and has been working on cars since he was a boy. He and his team at Ed’s British 4×4 have over 50 years of Land Rover/Range Rover experience.
For Kenny, he says the success of the business is thanks to their dedicated, knowledgeable techs who help fulfill their business philosophy, which is to “strive to be fair with our pricing, fix cars right the first time and to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated,” said Heithcock.

Kenny Heithcock
For Kenny, a passion to fix cars is genetic. As a kid, he helped his grandfather, Ed Heithcock, work on cars, eventually following in his grandfather’s footsteps by making mechanic work his profession.
In fact, Kenny told us that there has been a member of the Heithcock family working on vehicles in Williamson County since 1939.
When he turned 18, Kenny’s childhood hobby of working on cars with his grandfather became a passion and he decided to make it his profession. A few years later, he was working at Land Rover Nashville/Andrews Cadillac, where he became Land Rover certified. After 18 years working for a dealership, he decided he wanted to open a shop of his own.
Chris Scott
Chris is a certified Land Rover technician and ASE Master Tech. After working at Land Rover for 8 years, Chris came to work at Ed’s British 4×4 and Automotive.
“I have become a better person for my family and myself because the stress that came with the dealership atmosphere had been lifted. I have learned even more about the automotive industry than before. I have learned that the customers come first and now I get enjoyment out of repairing their vehicles,” said Chris.
Gary Heithcock
Gary became a certified Land Rover technician while working at the Land Rover dealership. In 2008, he came to work at Ed’s 4×4 and received his ASE certifications . Gary lives the Land Rover off-road and outdoor lifestyle every day with his fleet of 3 Land Rover’s
Dave Cates
Dave has been a professional automobile technician all of his adult life and is a 30 year ASE Master Automobile Technician. He joined the Land Rover team in 1996, whereupon he received factory training and attained multiple certifications from Land Rover North America, ultimately receiving the coveted title of Land Rover Master Technician. Dave joined Ed’s British 4xe team in 2017. He is well versed in all aspects of automotive repair and loves what he does. He enjoys woodworking and hanging out with his children.
