The third grade students at Edmondson Elementary school did chemical testing for their matter unit. They tested five “mystery powders.” They tried to make educated guesses while experimenting with heat, vinegar, water, red cabbage juice, and iodine to help determine the powders. After all testing was complete, we revealed the “mystery powders” to the students.
