About The Mockingbird
The Mockingbird sits in an 1850s farmhouse, a landmark to the community. After the Civil War, the property was used to raise cattle, sheep and crops. Guest can even see an original milk churn, sheep paddles and burgundy quilt on display, which belonged to the Boatwright’s, one of only four families to live on the property. Although parts of the home have been restored over the years, many elements are original, like the front door and fireplace. Learn more about The Mockingbird Restaurant here.
