Eagles Land On Bruins – Indy at Brentwood

For new/old head coach Ron Crawford , it wasn’t exactly the start his Bruins team was looking for. The Independence Eagles soared into town and landed hard on the Bruins early and often.

For Eagles Scores Came in “Bunch”-es

4 TDs for QB Andrew Bunch . 3 TDs were in the air where Bunch did the most damage for 397 yds. on 28-45 passes. Nate Johnson caught 2 of Bunch’s TDs and also had a punt return for a TD.

For Brentwood , it was mistakes that hurt them early. After taking the lead on a Tucker Day FG, Brentwood could have kept the game close. But,2 trips inside the Red Zone were negated with a bad snap and a penalty. add to that a missed FG and it easily could have been 20-20 at the half. Instead it was 20-3 Eagles.

Brentwood was capable of putting a couple of scoring drives in late in the 4th quarter. But it was too little too late as Independence won 47-17.

Up next for Indy , Centennial comes to town after their win over Franklin. It’s the Battle of the Woods as Brentwood has another tough matchup at Ravenwood after their big win over Siegel Thursday.
