Donna’s Deals: What You Need to Know About Toys ‘R’ Us Liquidation Sale

Toys 'R' Us Coolsprings

Toys “R” Us announced that it would close all of its stores. The liquidation sales began Friday and here’s what you need to know to get the most out of the Toys ‘R’ Us sale.

Coupons are no longer accepted at stores. While the discounts are minimal, you can’t try and score an even deeper discount with coupons.

Items are discounted only 10 – 30 percent off. Popular items like legos are barely discounted with only 5 percent off and diapers weren’t discounted at all. While most other items start at 10 percent off, wait another week to make your purchases and see if the discounts become greater.

Compare prices. Don’t get caught up in the liquidation sale that you forget to compare prices. Right now, most of the prices are higher than online shopping.

Toys “R” Us website is not discounted. The sale prices are only available in stores and not online at this time.

Use Your Gift Cards Now. The liquidation sales are expected to last until June but your gift cards will not be valid until that time, as of now Toys “R” Us is stating your gift cards should be honored until April 15.

Toys “R” Us is located at 1735 Galleria Boulevard, Franklin.
