While your Fourth of July plans might include some fireworks and backyard grilling, there will be plenty of sales to shop this weekend. Deal News shared five things you need to buy this weekend.
Summer Clothing
In just a few short weeks, retailers will be in back-to-school mode. They are looking to clear out all of the summer clothing items. Clothing retailers that often have great deals include Gap, Banana Republic, J Crew, and department stores.
House Paint
Most homeowners feel like outdoor projects are not worth tackling in the heat. House paint will be reduced during July as it sits on the shelf. Deal News reports that Lowe’s offered “buy one, get one” on paint during the month of July last year while Sherwin Wiliams gave a 40% off discount.
Games
While the Steam Summer Sale has already begun, it continues until July 5, making it one of the best times of the year to get PC game deals. The discounts you can expect depend largely on how recently the game was released. For a title from the last year or two, you can probably hope for a discount between 20% and 50% off. Meanwhile, older hits can be expected to drop to 75% off or more at some point during any major sale, and a few titles have dipped to as low as 95% off.
Christmas in July
Marking the halfway point in the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, stores have increasingly tried to bring a bit of the holiday to summer. Deal News states you could save 40% off select bookings at Hotels.com and up to 50% off sale items at Toys”R”Us.”
But not surprisingly, there will also be a few deals on Christmas decorations. Walmart offered excellent deals, including a sale that cut $40 off 7-foot pre-lit trees.
