According to the National Federation of Retailers (NFR), most shoppers began marking names off the list in November. But for those of you who haven’t started or who prefer to wait until the last minute, here are five last minute shopping tips.
Gift Cards – NFR reports that gift cards are still the number one most requested item on wish lists this holiday. Score a discount on your gift cards by purchasing them at Sam’s or Costco.
Follow Social Media of Your Favorite Store– To find that last minute discount or offer, retailers will make an announcement on their social media accounts.
Find Online Promo Codes – If you are shopping online, first check the last date to place an order so it will ship before the holiday then visit RetailMeNot.com or search for a promo code online which will give you instant savings.
Use Register Coupons – It’s easy to toss that extra piece of paper you receive with your receipt. Savings can add up and often it will give you a specific discount on something already on your list.
