Scenthound, a dog grooming center that takes a wellness-based approach to its services, announced that its third Tennessee location will open to the public in Nashville’s Melrose neighborhood on Wednesday, October 8. Scenthound is rapidly expanding across Middle Tennessee –the East Nashville location opened in June 2025, to a warm neighborhood welcome.
“We love seeing how each new community embraces the Scenthound philosophy,” said owner Jacob Lee. “As we began planning our growth in Nashville, Melrose was always at the top of our list for locations. It’s a vibrant and rapidly growing community that’s full of dog lovers. This has been an exciting year of growth for us, and we look forward to closing out the year on a high note with new locations in Melrose and Brentwood.”
Melrose will be the seventh of a planned 20 Scenthound locations from Jacob Lee, opening across Tennessee and Alabama over the next three years. The East Nashville location that opened earlier this summer has exceeded the owners’ expectations, seeing more than 850 dogs and recruiting over 300 new members. Lee hopes the October opening in Melrose will build on that momentum, as well as a second Williamson County location, planned to open in Brentwood before the end of the year.
Scenthound is unique in its approach to pet care, focusing on the five core areas of
maintenance that all dogs need: Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth. Memberships start at $39 per month and include the Basic Hygiene package: a bath with towel-dry, ear cleaning, nail trim, teeth brushing, and a six-point wellness check. Other services, such as shedding treatments, problem-skin treatments, or full haircuts can be added a la carte. Appointments can be made easily on Scenthound’s mobile app.
The Melrose location of Scenthound will be located at 2600 Eighth Ave. S. #101, in Nashville. Kellie Kurtz will continue to oversee the Middle Tennessee expansion as area manager, and the Melrose location will be helmed by general manager.
