The Franklin Rebel Soccer team is ranked as one of the best in the country, so it was expected that they would breeze right through districts.
After a 1-0 scare on Wednesday, Brentwood had the Rebels frazzled again last night.
A nill-nill first half turned into a 3-0 win for Franklin but their first goal didn’t come until just under 24 minutes to play, courtesy of Evan Forrest.
That opened the game up and Matt Brady found pay dirt a little under six minutes later.
The third and final goal was Evan Forrest’s second and Franklin added some hardware to their collection as 2014 District 11 Champions.

Franklin Road Academy defeated FCA to set-up a great semi-final match-up with BGA at FRA on Saturday at 3:30.
SOFTBALL
Ironically enough, Franklin softball defeated Brentwood as well and get this, final score…3-0. The win over the Bruins propels the Lady Rebels into the District 11 Semi-Final Game against Ravenwood.
They won that game 8-3 to advance to the District 11 Championship game.

BGA defeated Knoxville Webb 5-1 behind Sam Folks fifteen strikeouts. Tucker Beathard doubled and scored two runs for the Wildcats
