DiaTech Onology Brings Jobs Open in Williamson County

A Nashville based cancer treatment, testing and research company named DiaTech cemented plans to open a new base in Franklin by 2014.

The facility, which will be located on 405 Duke Drive, represents a $2.7 million investment and will create nearly 40 jobs, according to a press release by DiaTech and the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce.

Diatech OncologyExplaining what, exactly, DiaTech does is somewhat more complicated than the space here allows. In broad strokes, the company can test a type of cancer then tell the patient (rather, their doctor) exactly which type of chemotherapy to use, and plan to use it, will be most effective at fighting the specific cancer in question. It can also measure the effectiveness of new, experimental treatments, and tell how effective a certain ongoing treatment is.

The facility should be done by early 2014, and will be the first cancer testing center of its kind in Williamson County.

“Williamson County has been focused on developing the life sciences sector for years, and DiaTech’s investment in our community is a direct result of hard work by a number of community leaders,” said Rogers Anderson, Williamson County Mayor.

DiaTech is currently accepting resumes to fill out the new facility. To learn more, please visit www.diatech-oncology.com.
