A Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and his favorite charity were honored with an award from Toyota of Cool Springs.
Investigator Grant Benedict was named Deputy of the Month for September.
Investigator Benedict was recognized for this award for his fraud investigation that led him to discover credit card skimmers on gas pumps in Arrington, Tenn. Skimmers are devices planted in credit card-enabled devices (like gas pumps) to collect information from the cards, which is then used for fraud. The suspects involved in his Williamson County case are believed to be responsible for more than $250,000 of fraud across the country. He has worked for the WCSO for 22 years and is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division.
Toyota of Cool Springs General Sales Manager Kris Krabill presented a plaque to Investigator Benedict and Toyota of Cool Springs will donate a check for $150.00 to GraceWorks Ministries in his honor.
Each month Toyota of Cool Springs will honor a WCSO deputy and a charity.
