A Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and his favorite charity were honored with an award from Toyota of Cool Springs. Sergeant Steve Mitchell was named Deputy of the Month for April. Toyota of Cool Springs will make a donation to the organization Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) in his honor. C.O.P.S. provides resources to family and co-workers of law enforcement officers who are killed in the line of duty.

Sergeant Mitchell was given this award in recognition of his lifesaving rescue of a man from the Harpeth River. He has worked for the WCSO for 12 years and is assigned to the Patrol Division.

Toyota of Cool Springs General Sales Manager Kris Krabill presented a plaque to Deputy Mitchell and Toyota of Cool Springs will donate a check for $150.00 to C.O.P.S.

Each month Toyota of Cool Springs will honor a WCSO deputy and a charity.
